Response headers

Header Notes
X-Request-Id Present on every response from the API, including errors and 404. Responses generated by the CDN in front of the API — for example Cloudflare's HTML firewall 403 — are not ours and carry none. Quote it when reporting a problem — it is the only field that finds your request in our logs, which record the names of the query parameters you sent but never their values. You may send your own: a value of 1 to 64 characters from A–Z, a–z, 0–9, ., _ and - comes back unchanged and is your request's id in our logs. Any other value is not used: we log the request under an id we generate, even though the value you sent may still come back in this header — so quoting it will not find your request. If you set your own, keep to that form.
X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset Your per-minute quota state. Present on a response that was decided against your account, and absent whenever it was not — on any 401, and on a 429 from the pre-authentication ceiling, because neither of those knows whose quota to report; and while our rate-limit store is unavailable. See Rate limiting.
Retry-After Only on a 429. Whole seconds, never less than 1. It can exceed 60 — a one-minute ceiling does not imply a one-minute wait, see below.
